Hello,
We are a little family : my wife Elisa, I (David), and our little daughter : Lilou. She is one year.
Elisa was one of the first person with the webmaster to propose her flat in the website. Since that time, we have bought a flat for specially for rent.
We wanted to find a quiet neighbourhood, where people would have the feeling to be in a safe little village.
Quiet street, near more animated one (rue des Moines and rue Legendre), and near one of the most beautiful square of Paris (from our point of view ;o) : That is the environment we found in rue Truffaut. The area is very lovely and many partisans would love to live there… definitely !
The flat is in a co-propriété very typical : calm courtyard, with trees, some artists display their oeuvres in the courtyard.
The configuration of the flat allows to have even 2 couples without being disturbed in their intimity. It is very convenient.
David followed the renovation of the flat, last year. We wanted to have comfortable flat : new heater, full electric for more security, new “parquet” ..
Elisa managed the harmony of the flat : colour paint, choice of pieces of furniture, lamps. We have found the lamp with stones in a charity sale. We were almost attracted to keep it for our flat !!
She ran in the best place around Paris to find the different objects (Great Mirror, multi-stage tables, tiles in bathroom, lamp with 3 bulbs in the living room)…
You will see some painting in the living room. These are the one of Elisa. Unfortunately, with Lilou birth, she did not have much time to paint.
In result, we feel very comfortable. The materials are nobles . We enjoy a lot the bathroom. It has been completely rebuilt from before : there was a bath, a little wash-hand basin, and no more space for a washing machine. Great change !
I am very proud of the result, and of the ideas of my wife.
We tried to “renovate” the flat exactly if it was for us ! and we would like to buy a flat for us in the same area !!
We would like persons who chose our flat would feel as in their home. We are very happy when they say that after visiting “Le Louvre”, or after a long walk across Paris, they feel as to them, and not in a impersonal hotel room.
I tried to collect all the questions you usually ask or wander : I have put some documents in disposition in the flat :
- public transportations from airports or stations to the flat,
- how to use the ‘velib’ bike in free service (a station is at 2 mins from the flat)
- instructions in flat (Wifi code for internet, …) and around : market place, Square, Metro and trains, …
I hope it should answer the main worries. if you have questions during your stay in Paris in Rue Truffaut , we will be enraptured to answer you.
