Place Dauphine is one of my favorite places in Paris! During the summertime it's always an oasis of cool shade. And oddly enough, there's hardly ever anyone else there. Usually just a couple other people reading or painting. I love hanging out there studying the buildings around the Place. Back when they were first built, in the early 1600s, they were all exactly alike. It's fascinating to me to see how each has been modified over the past 400 years to become so completely different from each other...
